Beginning in 2007, in order to comply with emissions requirements, on-highway (DOT) units that use diesel fuel have diesel particulate filters (DPF) installed. These filters require additional maintenance that must be performed by the operator. The procedure is described in the owners manual and we have a quick reference sheet.
